Bright Laser Technologies (BLT) has made significant advances in 3D printing high-strength aluminum alloys. These materials are crucial in aerospace and automotive sectors.
BLT’s innovations have solved manufacturing challenges for complex, large-scale parts. In 2020, BLT helped develop the COSPOD-3D CubeSat deployer for Cosats. This project reduced weight by 50% and cut production time from months to a week. BLT also assisted in creating the main frame for the Agile Testbed in 2021. The entire project took only eight days to complete.

In the automotive realm, BLT has supported Tongji University’s racing team. The lightweight parts have improved race car performance in formula competitions.
BLT also unveiled BLT-AlAM500, a new high-strength aluminum alloy for aerospace applications. This material offers superior strength and cost-effectiveness compared to imported powders. After heat treatment, the material has a tensile strength of 530-550MPa, a yield strength of 480-550 MPa, and elongation of 11-17%.
BLT’s range of 3D printing machines and systems can efficiently produce high-strength aluminum parts. These machines are known for their reliability and consistent output quality.
As of late 2023, BLT can work with over 80 different materials. We continue to innovate, aiming to meet diverse industrial needs with high-quality products and services.
