On March 14^th, 2014, Airbus and NPU (Northwestern Polytechnical University) signed a cooperation agreement on exploring ways to apply LSF to aviation. Xi’an Bright Laser Technologies Co., Ltd. (BLT) will engage in R&D and production of this project. Huang Weidong, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Solidification Processing NPU and President of BLT, signed the agreement with Airbus China COO Gonzalez

After the signing ceremony, Gonzalez and his delegation were invited to visit the workshops and BLT exhibition room. Chairman Huang Weidong detailed the flange parts on the C919 central wing.
